Carolina is a senior associate with a well-rounded academic background. She holds several degrees, including a J.D., a banking law diploma, and a Master of Business Finance. Her legal experience includes having clerked in civil courts, including serving as assistant to the court secretary in charge of providing procedural guidance and projecting opinions. Subsequently, Carolina entered private practice and worked at a law firm assisting financial institutions in the preparation and review of contracts and reviewing and opining on new legislation. She later worked at a local bank and was tasked with corporate work for the bank that included preparing board meetings, annual meetings, handling corporate paperwork, performing compliance work, among other duties.
Carolina was then hired by Bolet & Terrero as a junior associate in the Trademark Department. She initially handled searching and filing, but was later promoted to addressing official actions and refusals. Today, she is in charge of the administrative litigation department, oppositions, cancellations, and nullities, among other matters.
A strong interest in patent work has lead her to currently pursue relevant courses that will prepare her to expand her practice to this area of IP.
